Sculpture first, bottle second
Blown, not moulded flat. The body is shaped in one piece, so the wings, chest and head are real volume rather than a pattern pressed on a flat face. That is why it reads as a sculpture from across a room.
The whiskey does the colouring. Clear borosilicate means the spirit inside is what you actually see. A dark bourbon reads bronze through the chest; a lighter pour glows gold. Empty, it goes back to plain glass.
High borosilicate, not soda-lime. The same glass family used for lab and cookware — thicker-walled and far less bothered by a temperature change than ordinary bottle glass.
